Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Counterpart (“Counterpart,” “we,” “us”) collects through this website, counterpart.care, and its forms, and what we do with it.
It does not cover the Counterpart member service, which is not available yet. When it launches, the member service will have its own privacy notice, and your medical billing information will be handled under the HIPAA authorization and limited agency agreement you sign when you join.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms and basic information about how people use the site.
- We use it to respond to you, run our waitlist, and understand where interest in Counterpart is coming from.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. The site has no advertising trackers.
- You can ask to see or delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected].
Information you give us
When you fill in a form, we collect what you enter:
- Join the waitlist: your name, email address, and, if you choose, your ZIP code and who provides your health insurance (for example, your employer or Medicare).
- Become a pilot employer: your name, job title, company, work email, phone number (optional), number of employees, and the type of health plan your company offers.
- Become a partner: your name, firm, email address, and phone number (optional).
- Contact us: your name, email address, and your message.
Please don’t include health information, such as diagnoses, treatments, or medical bills, in any form on this website. We don’t need it here, and we may delete it if you send it.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers collect information about your browsing activity on the site. Each form submission is checked to confirm that a person, not an automated program, is submitting it. Our hosting provider processes request information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we do not use advertising pixels or similar tools from social media or advertising companies.
How we use information
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To manage the waitlist and tell you about Counterpart’s launch and related news. You can stop these emails at any time.
- To follow up with employers, brokers and consultants who ask to work with us.
- To understand which regions and organizations are interested in Counterpart and how often.
- To improve the website.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to keep the site secure.
- To comply with the law.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you, and only for those purposes.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of Counterpart, our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep information
Form submissions are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you, run the waitlist, or continue a conversation you started, or until you ask us to delete them. We review what we hold at least once a year.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy,
- correct information that is wrong,
- delete your information, or
- stop sending you emails (you can also use the unsubscribe link in any email we send).
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Security
We protect information with reasonable safeguards: the site uses HTTPS encryption, access to form submissions is limited to our team, and we use service providers with established security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
Counterpart is based in the United States, and the information described here is stored and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also note them on the site before they take effect.
